Radioddity GD-168 Support
Radioddity GD-168 Support
Has anyone had a chance to inspect a GD-168 to see if its going to be easy to support?
Re: Radioddity GD-168 Support
The FCC ID that Radioddity are claiming in their website (T4K-D168UV) is the same as that for the Anytone AT-D168UV. So it looks like this is a rebadged version.
If that is the case then it will not be compatible with OpenGD77 because the main DMR chip is different.

Re: Radioddity GD-168 Support
Thanks! You just saved me $200. I made a commitment recently, to not buy any more radios which are not supported by openGD77. I love having the same channel lineup and the same contacts on all of my radios. I do wish we could port the CPS to Mac though...
Re: Radioddity GD-168 Support
Getting the CPS to work on the Mac would require a complete rewrite, so would be completely unpractical.
Adding to that that Apple started to change the way GateKeeper works, to make it harder , to install software that is not code-signed by Apple.

Re: Radioddity GD-168 Support
Regarding the Mac thing I have "virtual box" to run a virtual machine booting Widows 10 on my old iMac. I have installed opengd77 on multiple radios this way and it has been pretty simple to get even the USB ports to show and work properly.
