New DMR Radio Radtel RT-4D Import DG77 channel list
New DMR Radio Radtel RT-4D Import DG77 channel list
Hello
I bought the still unknown Radtel rt-4d DMR. In the latest version of the included programming, there is explicitly the possibility to load a GD77 compatible CSV file. I went into my finished GD77 for the MD-UV380 and created all files with the Export to CSV function. unfortunately, these cannot be inserted with the Radtel software. It reports errors that the files are not comparable. What am I doing wrong? Are there very old DG77 files where other formats are stored? I would have liked to take over ready-made channel lists with plug and play. who can give me a tip?

The GD77 codedplug format has not changed, there are no 'old' versions which are different.
Every radio type has a different codeplug binary format and also different CSV format.
If the Radtel CPS has that ability to Export and Import, you should Export the current codeplug in the Radtel radio, even though it will be a minimal codeplug, then look at the CSV files exported by OpenGD77 at the individual columns e.g. in Channels.CSV and then manually copy and paste the equivalent columns from the OpenGD77CPS CSV export into the Radtel CSV file(s).

Do you have the correct CPS installed?
V1_15_241130
Then you have to use the correct button Import OP77.
Everything worked correctly for me!

Re: New DMR Radio Radtel RT-4D Import DG77 channel list
Is it possible for this radio to have the Open GD77 firmware?
Re: New DMR Radio Radtel RT-4D Import DG77 channel list
Hi Roger, I have contacted the manufacturer. They are happy to provide the documentation. The CPU is a Atri AT32F423, with documentation available at https://www.arterychip.com/en/product/A ... p#Resource, the DMR chip is a HF6853 and they have sent me the document in Chinese. ChatGPT has translated the table of contents for me. It looks comprehensive. Please email me at yangys@live.com.au so that I can sent it to you. The AM chip is a BK4819.

OpenGD77 only supports the C6000 DMR chip. The firmware also only runs on Mk22 and STM32 CPUsVK3YAN wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 7:42 amHi Roger, I have contacted the manufacturer. You will also find if you google for that DMR "chip", you won't find any information
It's likely that the part number quoted is not a chip, but a self contained DMR module
If someone wants to attempt to port it to the CPU used in this radio, they can download the source code, but as the DMR chip / module is different, some functionality like promiscuous mode, and listening on both TS may be impossible
Re: New DMR Radio Radtel RT-4D Import DG77 channel list
From my research, I noticed that in the past year most Chinese radios have adopted the BK4819/29, which is an RF chip supporting F2D and F1W demodulation. However, in the case of the Radtel RT-4D, it uses the Horketech HF6853 as a vocoder.VK3YAN wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 7:42 amHi Roger, I have contacted the manufacturer. The reason for this choice seems to be that the AT32F423, unlike STM32FXX, does not have a built-in I2S interface for handling audio. As a result, an external vocoder like the HF6853 is used.
Additionally, there is a separate firmware available for the HF6853, which likely handles different vocoder functions independently of the main MCU.

Ran across your post from a Google search and just wanted to say thanks for the info! I was having issues transitioning from my OpenGD77 export to the RT-4D. Much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Matthew
