Good day

Is the MD750/760 the same as the GD77? https://radioaficion.com/cms/tyt-md-750/

Cheers

Hi!
According to the picturers on the page you've posted, it contains HR-C7000 DMR chip, which is different from C6000, used in GD-77 and its clones. And unfortunately, due to absolute lack of documentation, this chip is not (yet ??) supported by OpenGD77.

WIth regards,
Pavel / OK1PT

Unless the manufacturer of these radios start publishing full details of these chips and schematics for these radios I doubt the firmware will ever be ported to this radio

I think people don't realise that the OenGD77 firmware has taken over 3 years of work, done by people in their spare time.

To port to a chip with no documentation would take months if not years of work.

Hi there,

Has anything changed with this with the support for the DM-1801? This radio looks closer to the DM-1801 than the GD77, not sure on the technicalities though,

Thanks!

I just wanted to point to https://opengd77.com/viewtopic.php?t=965 whilst scratching my head. VK3KYY, I know you were referring to OK1PT's link for the chip information however as can be seen theres conflicting information on these two threads.

Hope this might light a small fire for support or confirmation of lack thereof!

MD-760 is the Chinese model number of the GD-77

MD-750 is a completely different radio, with different chipset.
