The option for Timeslot Disabled is confusing me.
I am fairly new to DMR but do understand the idea of TDMA.
How when and why would I use Timeslot Disabled, if it is necessary setting?

As always help appreciated.

There is an option to disable timeslot filtering. This only affects receive and allows you to hear any traffic, regardless of which timeslot it is using. You still need to ensure you have selected the correct timeslot if you want to reply.

Many thanks, that certainly helps.

This is going to be a long learning curve.

Being written solely for Amateur radio use, OpenGD77 does differ in some ways from other DMR radios which are aimed at commercial users. Both have a steep learning curve if you have never programmed a DMR radio before.

There is plenty of help available on this forum. Just Ask.
(But only after reading the manual at https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_Us ... r_Guide.md !)

There are many advanced features in the firmware, which are not in the commercial firmware, but you do not need to use them.

The default settings work just fine.
