observations and suggestions

Let me start by saying that I primarily use an opengd equipped radio for scanning.

A local utility company I scan uses insanely long talkgroups that get jumbled up in the last heard time. Would it be possible to have these scroll side to side either automatically or with the left and right keys? (see attached image)

Now these are transmissions on what I think is a tier III repeater or something... I'm still just scratching the surface on this stuff though. Another thing I've noticed is the RX light comes on when on the repeater channel because its data transmissions are near constant. Scanning over the channel seems to pause a little longer, but seems to only hold when someone is using voice communications, but I thought it was interesting, and maybe information that is relevant. (Yes, I know its not a tier 3 firmware etc. etc., but I've heard the utility company communications during storms on service outages and repair status, so this is why I monitor)

Here's what DSD+ captures from the repeater that triggers the 'rx' light.

Code: Select all

Sync:+DMR
(data cut)]
(data cut)]
+DMR                slot2    BS DATA  ERR1 DCC=1  Idle  ERR15
+DMR           slot1         BS DATA  ERR2 DCC=1  CSBK  ERR5  ECC FAIL
Activity update: Slot1=Indiv Data Slot2=No Activity
+DMR                slot2    BS DATA  ERR2 DCC=1  Idle  ERR11
+DMR           slot1         BS DATA  ERR2 DCC=1  CSBK  ERR8  ECC FAIL
+DMR                slot2    BS DATA  ERR1 DCC=1  Idle  ERR16
+DMR           slot1         BS DATA  ERR2 DCC=1  CSBK  ERR7 Preamble 8001 Tgt=(data cut)] Src=(data cut)]
[LB=1 CSBKO=61 (Preamble) FID=0 v16=8001 id1=(data cut)] id2=(data cut)]

CACH Sig ERR3
+DMR                slot2    BS DATA       DCC=1  Idle  ERR6
+DMR           slot1         BS DATA       DCC=1  CSBK  ERR5 Preamble 8001(data cut)]
[LB=1 CSBKO=61 (Preamble) FID=0 v16=8001 id1=(data cut)] id2=(data cut)]]
(data cut)]

+DMR                slot2    BS DATA  ERR2 DCC=1  Idle  ERR12
+DMR           slot1         BS DATA  ERR1 DCC=1  CSBK  ERR10  ECC FAIL
CACH Sig ERR3
+DMR  CACH ERR      slot2    BS DATA       DCC=1  Idle  ERR8
+DMR           slot1         BS DATA  ERR2 DCC=1  CSBK  ERR8  ECC FAIL
+DMR  CACH ERR      slot2    BS DATA       DCC=1  Idle  ERR13
+DMR           slot1         BS DATA  ERR3 DCC=1  CSBK  ERR6 Preamble 8001 Tgt=(data cut)] Src=(data cut)]
[LB=1 CSBKO=61 (Preamble) FID=0 v16=(data cut)] id1=(data cut)] id2=(data cut)]
(data cut)
110001011001 (etc. etc. data cut)
CACH Sig ERR2
+DMR                slot2    BS DATA       DCC=1  Idle  ERR12
Along those same lines I'd really find the ability to view which channel name that the transmission was received on if that is feasible, but idk how that would be handled when scanning a particular zone. I'm sure its been asked before, but is it possible to add a toggle to show 'last heard' duration, channel, and time since transmission, or is that in the future plans?

Hi,

16777215 is "all call".

I will see if it's possible to fit everything.

Thanks :D :D

Could the 'S1' or 'FN' keys be used to display recent activity or last heard while continuing to scan in the background?

What is your callsign ?
