In menu item Options > Radio Options > Scan Mode:
Hold means the scan resumes automatically after a carrier drops;
Pause means the scan only holds on a carrier for the duration specified in Scan Delay and then resumes;
Stop means the scan holds on a carrier and will not automatically resume after the carrier drops.
