Post by leadenbullet@mail.ru » Wed Apr 29, 2020 7:27 am

Hello everyone!

Acquired 1801 and immediately installed a new firmware.Understanding settings and menus. Could not find how to enable listening to FM radio. It is believed that in 1801 this is impossible. Is it so?

Does the official DM-1801 firmware support this ?

I didnt know the DM-1801 has a FM broadcast receiver chip in it. The RD-5R has this, but we can't use it, because its an unknown Chinese made chip with no documentation

shouldnt be possible at all unless there's yet another HW revision, as 1801/860 lacks the RDA5802 chip.

The DM-5R and RD-5R don’t seem to use that chip.

The one in the radio has a completely different part number and does not respond with the same identification code ( 0x58 )
