Unfortunately the manufacturers of these radios do not publish the schematic or parts list
GD77 Not Powering On - Fixed
Re: GD77 Not Powering On - Fixed
Bought a GD77 with the white screen issue. Radio was operational but no info on the screen, just white.
So I opened it up and attempted to reseat the display ribbon cable which is the common fault. In the process, the two wires connecting to the bottom of the speaker disconnected (they are very small/thin). So I resoldered them to the board and now the display wont come on at all.
I thought I might have reversed the wires so I tried the opposite way as well. Same result. Seems like something happened either when the wires disconnected and I turned on OR after i reconnected the two wires reversed and turned on.
Any ideas what to check?

Did you reseated the flat flex (the white/blue one) on both side ?
Checked the flat flex continuity ?
Checked the LCD panel's flat flex connection (semi-transparent ribbon cable) ?
Maybe the LCD panel is defective.
