After the K5 firmware he performed the same on the Retevis RT890 which uses many of the same components.
Do you, know, if by any chance the decompilation happened in Ghidra and if so, if the decompiled project is accessible somewhere? There is Abbree AR-2520 which has GPS, 128kB/32kB CPU and up to 25W, and whilst it will never have DMR and reach the potential of OpenGD77, it uses same codebase as the RT-890 but on a different processor (most likely a Chinese clone of AT32F415CBT7) so OEFW with some modifications would be possible. If the functions could be mapped from RT-890 the reversing would go much faster...

I have a Quansheng UV-K5 running on IJV firmware latest version. I can tell you it is hands down the coolest thing you could think a 'toy' dual band transceiver would ever do. Leaps and bounds above Baofeng UV-5R's of the past.

Yes It was done in Ghidra. The best thing to do is join the Dev group on telegram. Somebody will be able to hook you up with the project file.

This is out of scope as the firmware can't be ported to this platform.

So I'm closing this thread as this forum is for OpenGD77 related subjects only
