CPS is. windows only.

Some people posted that they got it to work on Linux using Wine, but this seems to be a black art

Most Linux users use a virtual windows env to run the CPS

Yep, any Windows version (I still have 7 here because the VM is ancient) in libvirt works just fine to flash, update contacts, etc.
