That’s the PA stage not the driver. However I suspect it may work OK in either position.

you've ordered transistor of last stage of power amp, but in your photo it's looks ok, driver of that last stage transistor is faulty.

The layout of your board is slightly different to the GD77 shown on Jason’s page. The layout is similar but the mounting holes are in different places.
On your board the device on the right is the PA which looks undamaged. The device that is burnt is the driver stage. However they are both MOSFETs so fitting a higher power device as the driver may work OK.

Even different batches of the same radio have different devices so you can’t really go by appearance. The manufacturers change devices all the time.
