RT-3S and BlueDV Hotspot Issues

Post by KN4FMV » Thu May 16, 2024 10:27 am

Have 2 RT3S radios with OpenGD77 latest beta on them. One is GPS, one is non-GPS. I've tried this on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Same result.

Playing around with BlueDV and using one as a hotspot. I have tested on Brandmeister and TGIF and while it works it only works for a minute or so. It shows as "Logged In" and I can hear voice and then it just cuts out. Clicking on the Link button brings it back to life. I can do this a few times until it finally crashes.

This is hardly a critical situation as I have about a half a dozen hotspots which all work fine. Just toying around with OpenGD77 hotspot mode.

And just curious if anyone else observes this behavior.

Have you control over the RFI that can affect the USB link ?

You should add ferrites to the USB cable and use an external antenna to limit the RF emitted into the control interface.
