Hello all,
I have a brand new GD77 and I charged it today the first time. The battery indicator in the radio shows 8.6V when fully charged.
When I measure (fresh off the charger - charger just turned green) the battery with a voltmeter it gives me 8.39V.
Does this matter? Is this going to lead to potential damage as the radio will not switch off when the battery is getting very low (since the radio thinks it is 0.2V higher than what it really is)?
Or is the switch off hardware controlled?
Can I somehow calibrate the battery voltage meter so it shows the accurate voltage?
Thank you for any pointers.
How to calibrate battery? Shows 8.6V at 100% charge
