ALLCALL with GD77
ALLCALL with GD77
Hello,
TEST1: QSO Simplex-Channel:
Device1: GD77-TX with ALLCALL -> Device2: GD77-RX does not open (DMR-FILTER RX-GROUP = ON)
TEST2: QSO Simplex-Channel:
Device 1: GD77-TX with ALLCALL -> Device 2: Anytone RX opens (DMR FILTER RX-GROUP = ON)
Questions:
Which radio responds correctly?
TX with ALLCALL should always open the RX?

Re: ALLCALL with GD77
Yes, allcall should be received by all radios.
OpenGD77 does not currently comply with this.
It’s probably not a high priority requirement though.

Re: ALLCALL with GD77
Hi Colin,
Thank you for reply!
Impractical on simplex direct connections (call with ALLCALL), if other devices (GD77) work with RX group lists!

So why don't you use a TG for this ?oe7abh wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 10:02 pmHi Roger,

Re: ALLCALL with GD77
Hi Roger,
We are currently working with 2 channels:
145.375 is a call channel (CQ) according to the band plan, everyone should hear it (ALLCALL)!
For the QSO we use 144.8625 with TG99 so that the call channel is free again.

Re: ALLCALL with GD77
Do they hear the call if you don't have any DMR filters enabled.
Re: ALLCALL with GD77
- If I have not activated a DMR filter, I hear the call with ALLCALL!
- But there are OMs who have set a DMR filter - then the call does not come through!

Re: ALLCALL with GD77
Can't you just all agree on a Simplex TG? I've heard TG99 often.
Or if you really want All Call, I think that's typically 16777215 so just program that in as an RX group if not already in Promiscuous mode?
