Greetings all,
Thanks for the addition to this group! I am just getting started with an older GD-77 here, and hope to make it function as well as, if not better than, my AnyTone '868 and '878 radios. Side projects (as I have time) are to perhaps turn an MMDVM Dual-radio Hat into a repeater that can function up on the local club's hill-top site. I am in the process of building a C-band (unlicensed) microwave shot covering the 10.1 miles between the clubhouse (where the Internet connection is available) and the hill-top site. Serving as both the Repeater Committee Chairman and the IT Committee Chairman for the club puts me in a unique position to do some things that would require separate people to cooperate. That's probably a good place to stop!

Welcome
An old GD-77 should be fine. AFIK they've been shipping the same hardware in the GD-77 since the radio was launched.
