Rt3s GPS GPS always off

Very nice openGD on my rt3s +GPS.
Problem: I installed MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin but I always have the gps off even if I rotate the upper central knob in menu>GPS. In the zip file there is also MD9600-CSV-GPS(2571V5)-V26.45.bin, should I install that?
Now to redo the installation I just have to repeat the step
"If you have not already selected the MD9600 ‘donor’ firmware, Press the “Select official firmware (donor) file” button and select the file you extracted from the MD9600 firmware package.
MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin" or do I have to do some other operation? Thanks

No, You must always use the -CSV donor file that it specifies.

The GPS is turned off by default. You just need to turn on the GPS in the Options/General Options Menu.

Thanks for the info. now it works, thanks again.
Here's where I went wrong: I wanted to switch it on from MENU>GPS and it always stayed off. Well now I go outdoors and see if it receives. 73 and happy new year.

The GPS is very slow to acquire but it will work eventually when outside.
