DMR-ID search in the loaded call sign database of the GD77

Post by oe7abh » Sun Apr 16, 2023 9:36 am

Hello OpenGD77 team,

is there a search function to search specifically for a callsign ID in the loaded callsign database (GD77) ?
If not, can something like this be programmed by the developers?

There isn't room to add much functionality to the GD77 as the ROM is at 99% full, and there are some othe functions like calibration which must be added as a priority over non essential functionality

I doubt there would ever be room for such a function on the GD77 type radios, but possibly there may be space for it on the MD9600 and UV380 as the ROM is larger

Thanks Roger for the quick reply.
I understand. The memory of the GD77 is full and does not allow any new features.
For the RT3s and RT90 it would be a UFB extension.
