OpenGD77 User Guide has been updated because new RT3S and MD9600 work OK
OpenGD77 User Guide has been updated because new RT3S and MD9600 work OK
Guys
I've updated the OpenGD77 User Guide now that its been confirmed that the firmware works on the new MD-9600 / RT-90 CPU
https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_Us ... r_Guide.md
Unfortunately Google now seems to be showing an old copy of the User Guide held by NA7Q in his github account, so most people looking for the user guide will end up reading something thats now 3 years out of date.
But Google search seems to be seriously broken for a while.
Bing is almost the same
And by the way, don't bother asking Chat GPT / Bing about OpenGD77, it completely lies and says OpenGD77 fully supports D-STAR, YSF, P25, NXDN and DMR
BTW.
I know a few people found some ommissions in the User Guide, but I can't remember what is missing, probably things about the UV380 and MD9600
So if anyone knows of missing or incorrect information in the OpenGD77 User Guide , please post here and I will attempt to update the OpenGD77 User Guide when I get some more free time

Is this the current chipset being used by Retevis for current RT3S MD UV380 Radios? I'm uncertain on where and whom to buy from.

You are commenting on quite an old post
It doesnt matter who you buy from. All UV380 and RT3S work with the firmware
Re: OpenGD77 User Guide has been updated because new RT3S and MD9600 work OK
Given how often people ask basic questions in the forum that are covered in the User Guide I can truly understand this response
For myself I have always downloaded the User Guide and even print it out as often I am using the radios away from my computer. Long story short, when time comes for me to download an updated User Guide I always have trouble locating the link for it. I end up doing a search through the posts for the topic User Guide.
Thank you for some the best firmware I have ever had the pleasure of using.

What I am wondering if there could be a pinned and locked post about the location / link to the User Guide in the FAQ section.

As usual the team here is at least one step, if not more ahead of me.
