Baofeng DM-1701 Datenkabel
Baofeng DM-1701 Datenkabel
Hallo an Alle.
Man lernt immer wieder dazu.

Re: Baofeng DM-1701 Datenkabel
I realise that it might be too obvious, but with my DM-1701 I use the programming cable purchased on AliExpress for US$5.36 and it works flawlessly.
Maybe you tried to use cables for analogue radios, which cannot work with digital radios...

Baofeng use different USB cables to other radios
The USB D+ and D- wires are transposed

Re: Baofeng DM-1701 Datenkabel
Learned this the hard way. When I picked up a DM1701, I assumed I could use the same cables that came with my TYT and Anytone radios. Nope...no joy until I got the Baofeng cable (which looks IDENTICAL to the Anytone) out of the box and tried it. It worked flawlessly.
Re: Baofeng DM-1701 Datenkabel
I just picked up a very inexpensive usb extension cable and cut it in half. Switched the two wires and soldered it back together and use my Anytone or MD380 wire along with that modified wire to read and write my DM-1701.
Re: Baofeng DM-1701 Datenkabel
Yes. Just swap the Green and White wires (i.e the 2 data wires).
You could even add a double pole double throw switch so that you could change between Baofeng and TYT/Anytone mode.
