I received the US General class license as a teenager in the early 80s, let it lapse during the college years. My interest was finally rekindled and I acquired the Extra license in 2018. I've been somewhat active on the HF bands using an Elecraft KX3 and temporary antennas, mostly FT8 and a bit of SSB. Recently I've become interested in DMR and bought a TYT MD-UV390 Plus 10W non-GPS (I've become very aware of the importance of the exact model and options)

I'm a fan of custom/alternate firmware, so it didn't take me long to find my way here after experiencing the shortcomings of the factory firmware and CPS.

Thanks to the developers and testers for making OpenGD77 possible. Well done!
