New channel from VFO
Re: New channel from VFO
If you set the Override TG in the VFO it will be retained when you change to Channel mode.
i.e Look in the VFO or Channel mode at the code which handles the TG number entry.

Re: New channel from VFO
It is working quite well now.
Instead of using overrideTG i am just copying the channel index from the VFO to the main channel structure. For the ts I am using the TS override to set the TS in the channel mode to the one selected in VFO mode.
I still have to look at CTSS related stuff....

Re: New channel from VFO
The VFO data structure is the same as the channel dat structure except for the meaning of the last byte.
So I am not sure why the CTCSS would be a problem

Re: New channel from VFO
Yes, the VFO structure is copied so maybe CTSS and other features are already working...
Re: New channel from VFO
Thoughts on a delete channel function for this also?
Re: New channel from VFO
I'm sure we could add a function to delete the current channel, but I'm not sure how much it would get used.
Re: New channel from VFO
Those number key assignments are temporary. In the longer term they will be configurable in the CPS, but I don't have time to update the CPS etc at the moment.
Re: New channel from VFO
So I really used the VFO on the fly over the last week on my long journey. The ability to save DMR channels was just amazing. Thank you guys for making that possible! Made for even better trip. No computer necessary!
