dm-1801 in a boot loop
dm-1801 in a boot loop
Afternoon folks, i had to undo the gd77 from my dm_1801 boot looped and i had to remove it, it showed a strange photo when it booted and kept looping, how to i clear the memory and eprom to zero and start over(i did add the 2.2.1 firmware and it works normally for now)
Re: dm-1801 in a boot loop
Was the OpenGD77 / OpenDM1801 bootlooping ?
I've never seen any radio, GD-77 or DM-1801 doing that.
Did you reload the official firmware

Re: dm-1801 in a boot loop
Yes sir i did and reloaded the baofeng firmware and it works fine but load the opengd77 and it starts to boot loop,
Would you like for me to reload it and send a video of it going to a boot loop?

Re: dm-1801 in a boot loop
There may be some problem with the EEPROM in the DM-1801 being too slow.
You could try loading the OpenDM1801 and turning the power on while holding down SK2 as this forces a reset to the EEPROM
Re: dm-1801 in a boot loop
Hi,
Settings reset (SK2+power on) fixed the issue, then I started to investigate the reason why.
I was also able to reset the settings just by cycling the power quite quickly.
Roger just merged the fix for this.
Cheers.

Today, once, I got a blank screen on boot with my DM-1801, then it was just bootlooping after that.

This is the latest build
I was holding off releasing a new version until I've resolved the problem with the reverse repeater and Channel details functions at the same time.
