Unless I'm missing something that I don't understand both of the product descriptions you sent to me state they support:
J-Link V8 Debugger JLINK Arm Cortex-M4/M0 Emulator
The product I bought also states:
Support ARM7/9/11 (including thumb mode), Cortex-M0/M1/M3/M4 core
None of the three talk about the NXP MK22 processor.
But the similarties amongst all three appears to be support for the ARM7/9/11 (including thumb mode), Cortex-M0/M1/M3/M4 core
So what am I failing to understand?
The NXP MK22 processor uses a ARM Cortex M4 Core.
This is because, most IC manufacturers can't afford to develop their own CPU core for their devices. Their just license the CPU core design from ARM Holdings.

So what you are saying is that the item I originally purchased does not need to be replaced by the alternatives you suggested because the product specs of my product do state
"Support ARM7/9/11 (including thumb mode), Cortex-M0/M1/M3/M4 core"
Is this correct? Are we on the same page?

It will probably work even though the description says STM32 whereas the GD-77 uses the MK22 CPU
BTW. What firmware is currently in the radio. The official firmware ??

I used the 'find' tool in the browser and it did not find 'STM32' within the product description. You must be reading something different? The url has STM32 in it but that means nothing. Got to read the the product description if you want to know what your buying. and that's done via provided link.
The official Firmware was being updated because when I tried to flash your opengd77 firmware I was not allowed to do so. Radio responded to put the HT in boot mode although it already was.

I know the link contains STM32 in it. I mentioned that above. But it means nothing. Especially if your making a website and your non-english speaking.
The attached screenshot is from the product I ordered. To me it has all the features you said you are looking for.
Do you believe otherwise?
Per Firmware.
The radio does boot and I can hear, for example the VHF/UHF repeater But I cannot transmit on DMR. Also, the radio will not allow me to flash new firmware to it.

Is the radio now running the OpenGD77 or the official firmware?
If its running the OpenGD77 firmware can you use the OpenGD77 CPS to backup the MCU ROM ?

As I already stated above:
The official Firmware was being updated because when I tried to flash your opengd77 firmware I was not allowed to do so. Radio responded to put the HT in boot mode although it already was.
