Hello,
I am new to the world of DMR, but not new to Ham Radio / Computers.
I have setup a code plug for my surrounding area repeaters. I followed the order of creating contacts for talk groups, then talk group lists, then finally channels that had the talk group lists.
A problem a fellow blind user and I have found is when on a repeater we hear activity from talk groups that we have not selected. For example our local repeaters are on DMR-MARC and we select Nebraska (3131) on the radio. We can hear traffic on Tri-state (31691). Is that the expected behavior?
Next question: How as a blind user can we identify the talk group being used by the stations we are hearing? The radio gives a chirp but that is all we get to know the talk groups do not match.
Thanks,
Talk group / CPS programming question

Thanks for the quick reply.
We are still learning the radio and the world of DMR.
This is the most independent access we have had to a radio and it’s settings.
